Huge Cups

These cups are great for people who like a large tea or coffee!

They are handthrown in stoneware.

 The cups can be put in a dishwasher. The pistachio variants are not suitable for microwaves and in fact all handmade pottery should be considered unsuitable for microwaving.

This lovely huge cup will make you happy. That's nearly all there is to say about it, except that it was handthrown in stoneware.

The other thing to say is that the handle is angular - striking and contemporary!

There is also a new variant to the Ocean Blue glaze - "Blue with throwing lines". Unless they are flattened deliberately, all handthrown pottery tends to have some throwing lines visible, made by fingers travelling up the vessel as it spins on the wheel  - in this glaze variant the throwing lines are kept visible, which works really well with the blue as the glaze 'breaks' over the throwing lines.
